Shawn did not sleep throught the day and finally went to sleep at 9. He said "Granny" for the first time. Fido was very scared due to the fire crackers, but once he had his dinner which had a crushed tranquilizer he was much better.

Hectic sunday

We took the kids sofa shopping in the afternoon and then later on met Dali Masi (great grand aunt). Both the kids had to be changed midway. Shawn played on the baby swing, slide & see-saw at Willingdon and fell asleep in the car on the way back. When we reached home Shawn saw the firecrackers being lit by the building kids.

Sunday fun

Shawn has learnt a few new dance steps. He runs backwards and swings his hands when his favourite music is played. He stands in front of the CD player and makes a big fuss until we play the music. He still likes to play hide and seek and runs all over the house trying to hide or find us.
Yohan went for an evening spin in the pram after quite some time.

Sucking his thumb

Yohan has begun to suck his thumb. He also makes gurgling noises if you keep him in your lap and talk to him. He will hold your finger and when you stroke his cheek will smile at you. He also follows you with his eyes when you walk near him.

Shawn is much better

The Dr said Shawn had a stomach infection, though he has a bit of fever he is back to his naughty ways. When you play the CD of his hindi songs he waves his hands and twirls around.

Shawn is not feeling well

Shawn has not been well for a few days now. He has fever and a blocked nose. Today he has hardly eaten anything and even threw up the water he drank. He ate a bit of soup and went off to sleep, we hope that he has a peaceful sleep tonight.

Arabelle & Rhea came over before they went to their cousin's place for dinner. Siddharth from Indore came over and we went out for dinner leaving the kids at home. Shawn was awake when we got back. Yohan was asleep for most of the time while we were away.

Shawn's tantrum

Last night Shawn thru a tantrum as we were not walking him around the house at 3 am. He cried for nearly an hour and refused to sleep. Luckily he did not wake up Yohan. He finally fell asleep hugging Yasmin at about 4 a.m

Back to the normal LM routine

Shawn gets up at around 10 am and runs all around till midnight. He is partially potty trained and very restless. Off late we have also started giving him nibbles of moderately spicy food which he enjoys. He goes down to the garden every evening and has become quite an expert on the swing & slide. Sometimes he will repeat a word you say. Some of the new words he has learnt are kitty, kissy, out, hot & tattoo. He has a slight bruise on his knee and he shows it to you. If you kiss the bruise he kisses it too.

Yohan is all smiles between his meals. He enjoys his morning malish & loves to be held and spoken to. When he goes to Seakist he smiles and laughs when grandpa sings him songs. When he is in the cot he likes to stare at his mobile. Both the kids get on very well with Lali our new maid who plays with them all the time.

Today since I had a Dusarrah holiday I played with the kids the entire afternoon.

Delhi 2nd week

sunday Oct 2
We took the kids for a sunday brunch to Nirula, CP. Shawn as usual needed one of us to guide him around the resturant while the other ate. Shawn had a few chips and tomato. Yohan was asleep thruout. Later in the afternoon we went to the Natural History Museume but it was closed as it was Gandhi Jayanti. In the evening the kids met their grandpa and played a bit with him & we went to the cemetry before getting back home. All thru the drive Shawn kept on looking out of the window, outside Rashtrapati Bhavan we saw a lot of monkeys.

I took shawn to appu ghar the amusement park. although he was underage for most of the rides he loved the blaring music and sat with jyoti bhaiyya on the racing car ride, the teacup merrygoround and the ropeway which he loved the mostin the evening we went with 'diba' to Dilli Haat where he ran all over and checked out the shops

tuesday oct4
We went to visit vidya's parents and shawn loved the drive to GKII he ate dosa and stole the spatula from aunty' s kitchen and refused to part with it till we left. He obligingly kissed and waved to everyone when it was time to go.

wednesday Oct 5
We went to Gurgaon to Delicia's house and later to the mall for some italian. Shawn was facinated by the escalator and ate B&R banana ice cream.

thursday Oct 6
Shawn and Yasmin went to Shanker Market where he ran all around. Yas met up with Jimmy and Shelly but the kids stayed at home.

friday Oct 7
We went for dinner to Sonali Khullar's where we met the usual Delhiites. Shawn was very cranky and we had to leave early. Yohan gae everyone smiles all around. Amit Dutt came over earlier.

saturday Oct 8
Deidre, Amit & Chinkey, Gautam came over in the afternoon. Shawn was very cranky due to the air pressure on the flight and had to be walked in the aisle. Luckilly the flight was empty so I could sit here and there with him. He liked looking out of the window when we took off and landed. Yohan slept thru out. We got home at 1 am.

Delhi Day 7

Sheroy, Binaifar, Sonali, Rohin, Jasmin, Vimla, Johnson, Vikram and Rayan came over for dinner. Rayan is 2 months younger than Shawn and talks quite a bit. He will be cutting his hair only after he is three. Shawn & Rayan hogged the chips and played a bit with each other. Yasmin gave Rayan a t-shit which he liked so much that he insisted on wearing it asap.
